Up and coming singer songwriter Winnie Raeder has signed a global publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group.
The 23 year old is currently working on her debut EP, which is set to be released later this year.
Mike Smith, Managing Director, Warner/Chappell Music UK says: “I was completely blown away when I first heard Winnie’s demos. Her writing and her live performances keep getting better and stronger. I feel like we’ve jumped on a real talent very early on and I’m confident this is going to be a long and successful partnership.”
Tim Cronin and Paddy Dalton, Co-Managers, Frank Music Management add: “We’ve all felt that on a very human level both Mike and Tom Coulson-Smith have understood Winnie and the music she creates. They and the rest of the Warner/Chappell team have championed her from the outset and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be at the beginning of this exciting journey with them.”
Raeder was born and raised in Aabenraa, a small town in Southern Denmark. She grew up listening to her Dad’s eclectic record collection, developing a love for blues, before discovering soul and gospel. The mix of these genres has heavily influenced Raeder’s powerful and emotive storytelling style.
Her latest songs are delivered with her raw, pure and distinctively unique vocals, which has caught the attention of the industry. Having already recorded Mahogany Sessions, she’s also recently played support slots for Alex Vargas, Nikhil and Banfi.
