George Moore has signed a global deal with Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group. Moore is a classically trained pianist, songwriter and producer who is best known for his writing on the debut album from Kwabs.
George Moore said: “I’m delighted to join Warner/Chappell – there is a real family feel here and I’m excited to start working with Paul and all the team. Chappell is home to some of my favourite songwriters so it’s great to be on the same roster as them.”
Paul Smith, Creative Director, Warner/Chappell Music UK added: “George is a real talent. I’m so pleased we’ve been able to partner with him so early on in his career. I’m positive that this is the start of a very successful relationship.”
Moore trained as a jazz pianist at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London before working as a session musician and playing live at jazz clubs Ronnie Scott’s and the Jazz Café. During this time he met and started writing with the Atlantic Records artist and soul singer Kwabs. So far they have collaborated on five songs together across Kwabs’ EP ‘Pray For Love’ and his debut album ‘Love & War’. They are currently working together on Kwabs’ new record.
Moore co-wrote the debut single from hotly tipped US artist YEBBA, ‘Evergreen’ and has also had releases with Clean Bandit. As well as continuing to work with YEBBA on her project, Moore has also recently been working on new music with UK girl group All Saints and Rationale.
