Kate Alderton has been appointed as UK Finance Director of Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), Warner Music Group’s music publishing company, with immediate effect. In her new role, Alderton will have oversight of all of WCM UK’s financial activity and will report to Mike Lavin, the company’s European Regional Finance Director, and Mike Smith, WCM UK’s Managing Director.

Alderton joined WCM in 2012, serving first as Financial Controller and later as Head of Finance for the leading music publisher. She joined the company from Deloitte, the audit, consulting, financial advisory and tax services company, where she had worked as an Assistant Manager in the audit division.
She is a graduate of the University of East Anglia, from which she holds a degree in Business Finance and Economics. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
